A one-night only thrill. YSL Beauty launched their new Black Opium scent, Illicit Green at Avant Gardner in Bushwick, Brooklyn. We fabricated 5 main activation touchpoints that brought the concept of Illicit Green Light District to lift: a DJ Booth, an olfactory scent experience, a photogenic perfume tunnel. a bright, industrial 360 photo experience and a custom light bar chandelier.

Challenge: Create an event to promote the reboot of the iconic teen drama, Gossip Girl.

Solution: Gossip Girl has always been about two main things: fashion and drama. So, what better way to get people excited about the return of our favorite social maker than with a fashion show and pre-screening?

Partnering with Monse, we developed an event that celebrated the fashion house’s GG inspired Fall 2021 line and gave attendees a sneak peak at the first episode of the reboot. After which we ended the night with a lively party overlooking DUMBO and the Lower Manhattan skyline.

An exclusive multi-day event for the NU Collective, a handpicked group of ~20 influencers who embody the ethos of the NU line. Attendees were flown to the Parker Palm Springs for a 2 night, 3 day experience where they learned, relaxed, connected and celebrated NU. The experience kicked off with welcome cocktails at the NU Content Hub (a villa that was open for the entire duration of the event to encourage content creation and brand exploration); the next day content started with Brunch, a Masterclass, Content Creation and ended with a intimate dinner and speakeasy after party.

“To promote the release, HBO Max took over a five-story townhome and flipped it into a fashion-forward, experiential playground for the weekend. But first, the pop-up kicked off with a media preview on Nov. 18, when press and influencers were invited to get an exclusive look at the experience before it opened to the public for three days.

The design of the event played off the theme of the new part to the series, titled A Friendsgiving Affair, including a fall fashion installation, Thanksgiving-inspired fare, and plenty of florals and foliage in red, orange and yellow hues. "Thanksgivings in the series are always iconic, and some fans would even say the Thanksgiving episodes are the best of each season. Our objective was to bring this dinner to life and give fans a taste of what they would be able to enjoy when Gossip Girl Part II premiered," explained Marc Mazarin, director of Originals marketing at HBO Max.

The experiential activation sold out within 30 minutes and hosted over 1,200 guests…explored various rooms throughout the townhome that were each inspired by a different character or scene from the show.“ - BizBash

Wooster Store Closing

Creative Director and Strategist, leading initial concepting and overseeing design execution. 

Challenge: Adidas Originals was closing its Wooster store to move to a larger location down the block. They wanted to benchmark the end of this era by throwing a closing party that captured the essence of the brand. 

Insights: Adidas is a brand steeped in history, but always yearning towards the future. Because of this we needed the event to capture the trajectory of the brand and celebrate both the past and the future. 

Solution: Designing an event that focuses on the past, present and future or the brand. Specifically the visual impact that Adidas and its advertisements have had on pop-culture. The main expression of this idea was in the collage/graffiti backdrop for the step and repeat and stage background.

Challenge: The Botanist Gin wanted to create an event that educated and inspired trade, press and influencers to utilize the spirit in their cocktails. 

Insights: The Botanist Gin is fiercely authentic to its Scottish roots, specifically the island of Islay, which they call home. Any activation we produced had to stay 100% true to Islay and its heritage and environment. 

Solution: We created a multi-day event that traveled to San Francisco, Dallas, Miami and New York, showcasing the brand and educating guests about it's unique flavor profile and creation process.

Challenge: Although Young Living has been in business for over 20 years, they are still relatively unknown to the mainstream consumer. Because of this, they wanted to engage press and influencers during the exciting and product-focused event that is New York Fashion Week. 

Insights: Young Living wanted to show media that scent is more than just an accessory, that it is as much a part of self expression as color, style or fashion. The brand wanted to showcase a collection of their key scents to the press, but ensure that every guest left the space understanding how scent can change your mood, or be an extension of it. 

Solution: To create a space that accomplished all of these goals--and did it for all of the scents highlighted--we designed a series of self-contained rooms, each containing interactions, colors and decor elements inspired by the room's hero scent: Lavender, Citrus, Floral and Peppermint. As guests moved from room to room they were able to engage in experiences tailored around the essence of each scent: relaxation for lavender, energy for citrus, empowerment for floral and freedom for peppermint.

A multi-city experience (NYC and LA) that allowed consumers to step into the spotlight and BARE IT PROUDLY. Attendees were able to book an appointment to get a complimentary makeover utilizing the new YSL Beauty line, NU, and then step in front of the camera to become the star of the campaign. We engaged fashion photographer, Kyle Dorosz, to capture bright, natural, striking portraits of each guest for both use on social and in future NU campaigns. Guests were also encouraged to strike a pose in our GIF booth and stay to listen to Va$htie and Ana Boo DJ.

Awards: PROMAX 2020, BRONZE, EVENT PRODUCTION DESIGN SILVER, EXPERIENTIAL OR STUNT PROMOTION FOR A CONSUMER EVENT

Challenge:  Create an event to promote American Horror Story: 1984.

Solution:  “Create an overnight experience at a 110-acre campground deep in the Santa Monica Mountains. [We] transformed the entire property into an immersive theatrical experience, where improv actors depicted counselors, a groundskeeper, a nurse, and other camp staples—plus, of course, wayward hikers covered in blood and a few creepy murderers.

The daylong event started off simple: jazzercise, arts and crafts, 1980s tunes. But things quickly took an American Horror Story-appropriate turn when a bloodied hiker emerged from the woods. Throughout the rest of the day and night, guests were tormented with a camp-wide blackout, a chainsaw-wielding killer, and other scary twists and turns.”

Agents of the Future

Challenge: Century 21 wanted to show agents in the LA area that they were a progressive and innovative real estate company--and one that agents should consider joining. 

Insights: Implementing cutting edge technology throughout the event would allow C21's to showcase their thoughts on the future of real estate. While allowing them to position themselves as a thought leader and innovator in the industry. 

Solution: Utilizing projection mapping we created an interactive cityscape that guests could explore and manipulate at their own pace. The technology was chosen over typical VR because it's inherently communal and networking-based, rather than solely personal experience--allowing guests to interact with each other and C21 staff.

Magic Wheel Game

Creative Director and Strategist, leading initial concepting and overseeing design execution. 

Uniqlo was opening its newest store in Disney Springs (located in Disney World) and wanted to make an impact through an interactive game. We developed a game was classic and futuristic at the same time. Lines for the game extended through out the store and were a success for the company. 

Key Takeaways: The Wheel was such a success that the store ran out of tickets in the first few days. The client was so happy, they began plans to set up more wheels in other locations.

From TH Productions: “Supersonic Lab, an interactive pop-up tour traveling to nine cities across the country giving beauty mavens the opportunity to experience the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer first hand. Through one-on-one dry styling services, advice from the brand’s experts and interactive demos, participants were given the chance to truly see what 4 years, 103 Dyson engineers, trichologists and stylists created given their extensive research and study of the science of hair. After receiving a complimentary service, guests were invited to snap a photo in our MirMir social photo booth and purchase the product via an on-site shop.”

Canary Flex Product Launch

As Lead Producer and Creative Director, I concepted, planned, directed and executed Canary's newest product launch event. 

Challenge: Canary wanted a way to unveil their newest offering in an engaging and thoughtful way, one that specifically spoke to bloggers, press and influencers of various backgrounds and industries. 

Insights: Authentically connecting to a wide range influencers, while showcasing the flexibility of the product in various locations, was paramount for Canary. 

Solution: Use Canary's unique space to create a specialized space that would speak directly and authentically to the variety of guests that would be attending. We created a variety of industry specific rooms that spoke to everyone from interior designers and home bloggers to pet influencers and mommy bloggers. In each vignette the Canary Flex was situated in a different way, all showcasing the versatility of the product. Because the vignettes were so varied, we developed the concept of "Canaryville" to tie all the spaces together into a town-like space. 

Key Takeaways: Canary saw more than 300 guests come to the launch event, which was almost double what was expected. 

BeautyCon, 2018

Target wanted to create a big splash at their first BeautyCon and show consumers that Target Beauty is a contender in the beauty space. The experience needed to be larger-than-life and catch the eye amongst all the other booths at the conference. The concept changed since the initial ideation, but the simplicity of the final design helped focus the experience.

CFDA After Party

Creative Director and Strategist, leading initial concepting and overseeing design execution. 

Challenge: Create a space that ties in to both the CFDA Awards, as well as Samsung's tech incubator. 

Insights: Fashion and tech are inherently opposing styles (although they don't have to be). The implied femininity of fashion and the implied masculinity of tech create an interested paradox that needed to be integrated. 

Solution: Integrate sleek technology pieces like DJ booths and touch screens with minimal florals and greens that soften the harsh lines and act as a subtle backdrop for the celebrities and designers in attendence.
